The Role of Board Certified Behavior Analysts in School Programs

Consultation and support guided by the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) can improve the educational performance of students and directly result in positive outcomes for students with a wide range of behavioral and educational needs. This session will review the role of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in school programs and established standards of practice for ABA.

  • Identify the certification requirements for Board Certified Behavior Analysts
  • State various benefits of services that can be provided by behavior analysts practicing in school settings
  • Describe the basic principles of learning theory and behavior change utilized by behavior analysts

School Administrators; Special Education and general Education Teachers; School Psychologists; Parents

Individuals attending this workshop must arrive on time and stay the duration of the workshop in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours.
