This handout provides information related to the COP Webinar- Making Transition Happen – Employment Options Part # 1
This webinar covers the following information: A wide array of services exists to assist youth with disabilities and their families make the transition from school-to-work. Regardless of individual circumstances, youth and young adults with disabilities can benefit from a multitude of services that are customized to their specific strengths, abilities, interests and needs including: Career Exploration, Career Assessment, Community Based Work Assessment, Job Shadowing, Assistive Technology Evaluation and Training, Soft Skills/Job Readiness Training, On-the-Job Training, Supported Employment, Post-Secondary Education and Vocational Training. This session will address these topics as well as discuss the following program models utilized by the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) throughout Pennsylvania: Early Reach, Project Promoting Academic Success (PAS), Jobs for ALL OJT Project, Project SEARCH, and the Employment How to Guide.
