The Visual Communication and Sign Language Checklist (VCSL)

Participants will learn about the new, standardized checklist that documents early visual language and communication development of young children who use sign language. The VCSL is the first standardized checklist that tracks the typical visual development of children who sign. During the session, participants will learn how the checklist was developed and standardized. In addition, demonstrations regarding how to use the checklist for assessment and instructional planning will be provided. Information about training webinars that are currently under development will also be shared with participants.
