Uploaded: May 10, 2012 |  0 Comments  |

The assessment of communication skills in individuals functioning at the earliest stages of communication is difficult, especially for children with little or no speech; yet appropriate intervention requires appropriate assessment. Too often, communication assessments are not helpful because they focus on what the child can’t do (speak) as opposed to what the child can do (use other means to communicate).
