Research shows that inclusion in general education classes is one of many factors that lead to positive outcomes for students with disabilities. Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Chapter 14 require an individualized, assessment-based approach to secondary transition. How can educators balance the need for rigorous, standards-aligned courses with needs for community- based instruction or instruction on independent living skills? The following webinar examines effective transition strategies that address the individual needs of students while maximizing participation in the general education curriculum.
